Sensei Ray and Ben preformed a Martial Arts demo for New Bridge Academy in Lower Sackville; the students had a great time.
Sensei Ray and Sensei Brent also preformed a demo at the N.S.C.C Waterfront campus for the opening of a film lecture on Japanese film making. They preformed traditional Jujitsu and Iaido (sword) demonstration.
The C.B.C television show this hour has 22 min used the Bushido-Kai for filming a comedy skit demonstrating the new “stapler” self-Defence tool. Just go to u-tube and you should find it.
The I.W.K choices program for at risk youth where at the academy to take part in training. Sensei Ray has been working with the I.W.K program for the last few years providing training for teens who wish to get involved with Martial Arts.
Guro Rob Doley has been to Halifax twice now for seminars. Once at the Bushido-Kai and once at the Sackville Martial Arts center in Lower Sackville. As always he puts on a great training seminar.
Sensei Don 3rd Dan Black Belt is teaching semi-private training on Saturdays from 2:00 to 4:00 there will be a $10.00 drop in fee for training. Sensei Don has over 20 years experience in many arts having trained around the world. Always check our facebook group to see any changes in that class time.
On Saturday April 11 the Bushido-Kai will be sending a team to the Abhaya Grappling Championships in Windsor N.S. This is no-gi grappling event and B.J.J/Submission wresting coach Steve Greencorn has been training the team and getting them ready.
Submission wrestling head coach Josh Albright should be back in April and will be back teaching on Monday night.
The Bushido-Kai hosted a B.J.J/ Judo seminar with 6 time world champion Eduard Luke from Brazil. Sensei Luke taught a great session on ground work and we all learned a lot. Thanks to Judo instructor Scott Tanner for helping out.
Sensei Ray will be teaching two seminars in the next two months, one at the Sackville Wado-Ryu Karate club in Sackville and one at the Island Martial Arts center in Sydney N.S.
