The Bushido-Kai Martial Arts Academy located in Halifax is Nova Scotia's longest running multi–discipline Martial Art training facility

Founded in 1985 by Sensei Ray McKinnon the Bushido-Kai Academy is recognized around the world by some of the leading instructors in various disciplines.

Centrally located in Halifax we offer certified training in Traditional Japanese Jujitsu, modern Bushido-Kai Jujitsu, Muay Thai / Amateur / Jun-Fan Kickboxing, Filipino Martial Arts, Jun Fan Gung-Fu, Jeet Kune Do, Submission Wrestling, Brazilian Jujitsu and Law and Security Defensive Tactics.

Those looking for instruction should take note that we are a professional school and will not tolerate those looking to prove something or try to teach their own “style”. We are not a “commercial” school where we accept everyone, those looking to train with us must have a goal to want to learn and explore the various techniques that the Martial Arts offer as well as an open mind and the ability to follow instructions in order to move ahead in the arts.
